About the centre

Where scholarship, technology and heritage meet

The centre operates as a hub for research on Turkic languages, digital corpora and cultural heritage. Bringing these three strands together allows it to combine the traditions of classical philology with modern digital methods.

The centre carries out its work under an annual research programme approved by its Academic Council, and publishes the results as they are completed.

  • Comparative and historical study of Turkic languages
  • Editing ancient and medieval written sources for publication
  • Building an open digital corpus of Turkic languages
